PawLedger helps you keep pet profiles, health records, reminders, care costs, and attachments together. This policy explains the information used by the current app and the choices you have.
1. Our approach to privacy
PawLedger does not require a separate PawLedger account to create and manage your pets’ information. We do not sell the pet profiles, health records, reminders, expenses, notes, photos, or files that you add to the app.
PawLedger is an organizational tool for pet care. It is not a veterinary service and does not provide medical diagnoses or treatment advice.
2. Information the app handles
Pet-care information you add. This can include pet profile details, health records, record notes, dates, provider details, reminders, medication-related care details, expense entries, and attached images or files. Depending on what you enter, this may include sensitive information such as microchip or veterinary-history details.
Device permissions you choose to grant. PawLedger can use the camera to take a pet profile photo. It can use the photo library to select pet photos or image attachments, and the Files picker to import document attachments. PawLedger uses notifications only to deliver reminders you create or that are generated from your care information. You can decline or change these permissions in iOS Settings.
iCloud information. When you use iCloud on your Apple devices, PawLedger stores app data and attachments in a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account so they can sync between your devices.
Advertising-related information. The free version of PawLedger may show ads. Google Mobile Ads and its consent tools may process device, advertising, and usage-related information to deliver, measure, and manage ads, subject to your region, device settings, and consent choices.
Support communications. If you email us, we receive the contact details and information you include in your message.
3. How information is used
- To show and organize the pet profiles, records, reminders, costs, and attachments you create.
- To schedule local notifications for active reminders.
- To keep your data and attachments available through private iCloud sync when iCloud is available on your device.
- To provide, measure, and manage advertising in the free experience where permitted.
- To respond to support and privacy requests that you send to us.
4. iCloud, advertising, and third-party services
Apple iCloud and CloudKit. PawLedger uses Apple’s private CloudKit database for app data and attachments. Apple processes this information to provide iCloud and CloudKit under Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
Google advertising services. PawLedger uses Google Mobile Ads and Google’s consent tools. Depending on your region and choices, Google and its advertising partners may request consent and may use information to provide or measure ads. PawLedger does not send the content of your pet records, notes, or attached files to Google for advertising.
Tracking choice. If iOS displays an app-tracking permission prompt, you can choose whether to allow tracking. Where advertising privacy options are required, the app shows an Ad Privacy Choices entry in Settings so you can review them.
We do not send your pet-care information to veterinarians, clinics, or other pet-care providers. We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect the security and integrity of PawLedger.
5. Your choices and controls
- Camera, Photos, and Notifications: Change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
- Advertising: Use Ad Privacy Choices in PawLedger Settings when it is available, and use iOS Settings to manage tracking permission.
- Your app content: You can update or remove content using the controls available in PawLedger. For help with a privacy, correction, or deletion request, email us using the contact details below.
- iCloud: Your synced data is associated with your Apple Account. Apple provides controls for managing iCloud and device backups in your Apple Account and iOS settings.
6. Retention and security
PawLedger keeps information on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your private CloudKit storage for as long as needed to provide the features you use. Information you remove through the app or iCloud may remain in Apple-managed backups for a limited time under Apple’s policies.
We rely on the security features provided by Apple’s platform and CloudKit. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Children
PawLedger is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, please contact us so we can address the request.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PawLedger changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
